Some of the friends who helped along the way

Chorus:
When I think of the ways that I’ve grown
I know I couldn’t a’ made it alone
I owe a lot to the sharing, caring, daring
Wonderful friends that I’ve known.
I owe a lot to the sharing, caring, daring
Wonderful friends that I’ve known

One nice thing about video, is the way prices have dropped. When I started, just shooting cost about $400 for 10 minutes of picture and sound:  film stock, processing, workprint, transfer sound, make a magnetic 16mm track, and synchronize the picture with the sound. Each step cost around $80 in 1970. Also, a good camera was $50,000. Today the cost is almost nothing. This allows trying things even if money is not there. Of course, while materials have diminished in cost, labor has not. It’s tempting to begin projects without funding, but that can become problematical.
